FAQs
What are the technical possibilities of our production?
We can assemble PCBs with a maximum of 160x200mm as standard. Please contact us for larger boards.
SMT components can be automatically assembled from a size of 0201 (imperial) and up to a maximum size of 40x40mm.
Do I have to worry about PCBs and components?
No! We take care of ordering all PCBs and components.
Customer-supplied components lead to a high additional effort for us and are therefore charged at €5 per supplied component type.

Pick2Place is a service of MULTIVATIVE, a manufacturer of innovative assembly systems for prototypes.
We work and produce in Austria. Thanks to our unique machines, we can also offer even the smallest quantities of assembled PCBs cost-effectively.
Why is Pick2Place cheaper than comparable providers?
As a manufacturer of our own assembly systems, we have been able to greatly optimize the manufacturing processes from data input to manufacturing to final inspection. Our machines are specialized in highly automated prototype production and we pass this advantage on to our customers.
The better and more comprehensive the manufacturing data we receive from you, the more automated our manufacturing process is. We pass this on to you in the form of lower assembly costs. Gerber data and PnP data alone are not sufficient for our automated manufacturing process.
How long does the production take at Pick2Place?
We assemble within 3 working days after we have received components and PCBs.
The entire production time is usually between 5 and 10 working days, depending on whether the PCBs are ordered express.
What data do we need?
We usually work with this data:
- ODB++
- IPC2581
- GenCad
In addition, we need your Bill of Materials including MPN (manufacturer part numbers) of the components or the part numbers of a distributor for all components (including passive components such as resistors).
How quickly will I receive a quote?
You will receive a binding offer within one working day as soon as we have received your data.
Which components can be assembled?
SMT components from a size of 0201 (imperial) and up to a size of 40x40mm can be assembled on our machines.
There are no restrictions for THT components.
According to which IPC class do we manufacture?
We manufacture according to IPC Class 2.
Best Price Guarantee
We offer you the best price for your assembled PCBs. Have you received a better offer for your assembled PCB from another provider (including outside Europe)? Then we will manufacture the order for you at this price. Send us a screenshot or a PDF of the offer with the request in the form above.
For providers outside Europe, especially from China, we add 20% import sales tax, €30 (gross) shipping and €15 (gross) handling fee for customs clearance to the offer price you have presented for a fair comparison.
The best price guarantee only applies if the manufacturing data formats ODB++, IPC2581, GenCad, Altium or KiCad are provided and an assembly print including component references is available on the circuit board. The comparison applies to complete assembly, i.e. if all components are actually assembled (for example, a comparison with an offer on which only passive SMT components are assembled is not valid).

We come from Austria in the heart of Europe and are the founding team behind MULTIVATIVE. We have developed the most efficient SMT manufacturing machine currently available on the market for the smallest quantities (from a quantity of 1). Not every company, let alone private individuals, can or wants to make the investment in such a system. Therefore, we are now also making assembly with our systems available as a service.
